An individual call prior to the retreat so you can fully prepare and ask any questions, and a resource document to further outline the intention behind some of the practices.
Throughout the retreat you will be consciously and systematically working with your own stress, pain, and illness - and the challenges and demands of your everyday life.
You will develop an awareness of automatic pilot, habitual patterns, awareness of thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations.
This awareness provides the opportunity to engage with life in a different way and is the foundation upon which new perspectives are built.
As the emphasis is on bringing mindfulness into everyday life, home practice, and journaling are also important aspects of the course.
A safe and supportive environment will be created for this work and learning through:

Gentle embodied yoga
Mindfulness and Compassion practices.
Playfulness & Pleasure practices
Dynamic Dance & Movement
Forgiveness practices
Personal reflection through journaling.

"As I neared the Hidden Gem I found myself organically falling into silence. As the roads narrowed and rolling hills emerged I began to notice my breath, becoming more drawn inwards to my sense of being. Shrouded in the embracing views of nature I felt an escape from the cacophony of the everyday world, where noise often drowns out the whispers of my soul. After a warm welcome, I found my morning had drifted by in a haze of discomfort and curiosity. Stripped of my habitual interactions -no conversations, no laughter, no distractions. I was faced with the vibrant yet daunting tapestry of my thoughts. It felt as though my inner dialogue had taken to the stage, demanding to be heard, taken to the screen, demanding to be seen. Lunch continued in silence, I found myself deepening into a place of calmness, accepting this place of silence, an opening into the deeper layers within. I sank into a warm feeling of being cradled like a mother's touch, all from within the depths of my own being. The continued meditations became a dance between awareness and surrender. Eyes closed, enveloped in a cocoon of contemplation. My day ended with a tender reluctance to leave this sanctuary of silence and simplicity, to which I felt relief in the knowing that it was within. "Yes! I've been on my 3rd retreat day with Sue and each time it has gone deeper and better than I ever expected! The first time I went for the retreat I had just had a fight with my boyfriend so feelings of frustration, anger and sadness were present. What actually came up that day was my deeper feelings of abandonment from when my sister suddenly died when I was a child! I had a lot of body pain followed this and so Sue kept in contact with me and offered me tips and tricks of how to work with the bigger issues at play. On my 2nd day retreat, I had been having difficutly with my other sister but what came up that day was the need to forgive and release an old friend from college many years before! The 3rd time, I was going into my 3rd trimester of pregnancy so was hormonal and tired. Sue had every prop left out for me with a chair and my mat beside the wall for support. Was so grateful for this! Everything that came up was deeper than the previous times, the silence really provided a safe space to allow the feelings to come up but also I felt so nutured in the silence afterwards!
