Mindfulness & Leadership Education Consultant
Sue works as an education consultant in leadership, behaviour and culture change in organisations. Incorporating science, leadership, the practice of mindfulness and performance coaching into her work, she has worked with diverse groups including; prisoners, youth, business executives and high-performance athletes. She focuses on developing national programmes and policies aimed at professional development for social-change, nationally and internationally.
Sue has developed 15 resources to support professional development in human behaviour change areas including; leadership, wellbeing, sexual violence prevention, offending behaviour, entrepreneurship, politics and sports performance.
Recently, she developed the New National Junior Certificate SPHE (Wellbeing, Mental & Sexual Health Programme). As well as developed the National Strategy for Child & Youth Participation and accompanying Culture Change Toolkit and Training for 4,000 staff within Tusla (Irelands, Child & Family Agency).
Sue has worked as an education consultant for UNESCO. Delivered training and research projects internationally in Africa, India, USA, UK, Ukraine & Middle-East. Attained a PhD in Leadership & Resilience. Holds an MA Health Education & Promotion, Dip Youth & Community Work, Dip Management & Executive Coaching, Dip in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Teacher training, BSc Science (Pharmacology, Biochemistry & Psychology).
Sue works with individuals, teams and organisations to tailor bespoke interventions that best meet their needs informed by evidence of what works in behaviour and culture change. Sue also delivers courses in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and has a long-standing mindfulness meditation practice.
She is currently building a software company called Zendallo to enable teams harness the power of technology for team effectiveness with her co-founder.
Sue is passionate about sport; holds a Black Belt in Tae-Kwon Do, competes in Triathlons nationally and internationally, completed Ironman in Sweden in 2013, has completed 5 marathons, surfs regularly and loves walking her dogs, Maya & Charlie. She is an avid reader and is published her first book 'The Athlete's Secret Garden - Tending the Mind for Peak Performance' in 2017.
